With a vision of “Expect Excellence” we are committed to providing our students with the best education possible. Our mission, “Providing Excellent Educational Experiences Today for Tomorrow’s Success,” demonstrates our dedication to preparing our students for success at all levels.
Although we are a small rural school district, we have many reasons to be proud. We have strong parental and community support. We have an outstanding team that focuses on high standards and high expectations for all.

Not only do our students make notable achievements in academics, they excel in extracurricular activities as well. During the 2012-2013 school year, the Royals brought home region championships in cheerleading, girls basketball, literary, and boys and girls tennis, golf, and cross country. The boys basketball team were runners-up for the state championship in 2013. The Royal Kingsmen band consistently receives superior ratings at festivals and in competition.
The tradition of excellence continues into the current school year. Boys and girls cross country teams won region championships and placed third and fourth in state competition. The one-act play won the region championship. The cheerleading and football teams were runners-up in the region and advanced to state competition and the softball team advanced to the state playoffs.
We have room to grow and continually look for ways to improve; however, we believe every individual has the capacity for excellence. We know expectations impact results, thus we hold ourselves and our students to high standards. We “Expect Excellence” in academics, athletics, and the arts. For as a wise person one said, “It is better to aim for ‘excellent’ and hit ‘good’ than to aim for ‘good’ and hit ‘average.’ Excellence is our target.
